The Colour-Word Interference Task can measure executive function skills related to:

INHIBITION (to inhibit our automatic response to reading the word we see)

SHIFT (switching between two strategies: read word, name colour)

The Tower Task measures executive function related to:

PLANNING (transitioning from one strategy to another)

INHIBITION (resisting the impulse to move the piece before thinking through the strategy)

The Trail-making Task measures executive function skills related to:

SHIFT (transitioning from one strategy to another)

This task also measures visual-motor control and sequencing capacities.

This Sorting Task measures executive function skills related to:

INITIATE (getting started on new problem-solving approaches)

SHIFT (transitioning from one strategy to another)

INHIBITION (leaving the previous strategy behind)
